Is it true that salt (sodium chloride) can be found as a thickener in many shampoos?

Not just many, but most shampoos contain table salt, or sodium chloride, used as a cheap thickening agent. Salt dries out your hair and scalp in the same way that swimming in the ocean does and is therefore not a desirable ingredient. All AG shampoos are manufactured without adding salt as a thickening agent. We simply use less water and a higher concentration of ingredients that are beneficial to your hair, and provide you with instantly discernable results.
